GETTING FROM ONE TERMINAL TO ANOTHER
|
|

If your changing airlines, you'll need to take the "A" free LAX Shuttle which makes a continuous loop in the oval roadway which connects the terminals. There are shuttle bus stops located outside each terminal on the lower level roadway in the center island. Look for an overhead sign which reads "LAX SHUTTLES." Note: This shuttle does not go to the Imperial Terminal which is on the opposite side of the airport. To get there, you will have to take a taxi or a van shuttle. You can find more information under ground transportation after clicking on the terminal button.

It's not all that easy to find, unless you're familiar with the area, so print out driving directions to make your taxi driver's job a bit easier. Most galleries are open Tuesday through Saturday.

FABULOUS FOOD
Not much more than five minutes away from the airport is Landry's
which is in the Sheraton Gateway Hotel. Hardly what you expect to find in an
airport hotel, this fine dining establishment was recommended to us by a friend, who is a food industry professional. They are only open for dinner 5PM -11PM. The
fare might best be described as California Continental cuisine, includes
steaks, chops, seafood and pasta's. They also have a terrific sushi bar, which we've heard described as one of the best on L.A.'s west side. The average food cost is currently running under $20.00. They feature a full bar and wine cellar.
The real bonus is that you can hop on the Sheraton Gateway hotel shuttle to get there and back. Of course you may have to give yourself an extra 15 minutes to wait for the Shuttle.
